Good morning from a Travelodge bed in Newcastle, with dd1. We're just waking up & getting dressed ish for breakfast.

After that, we're coming back to nap & then shower before heading for our flight to Dublin for a gig tonight. We're meeting one of dd's friends and her mum there.

Dd2 should hopefully be sorting out the remains of her GCSE work with their dad & getting rid so there's space for dd1 to move back next weekend.

Good morning, it’s getting too warm here for me, I hate this weather.
I started at 6 cleaning and tidying because little’s been done this week. So, I’ve cleaned the bathroom, toilet, bedroom and living room, the kitchen is next. I’m grinding to a halt because my breathing isn’t good in this hideous weather.
I’m waiting to hear from the hospital about my lung surgery; because the cancer has grown over the 18 weeks since I was diagnosed, the consultant I saw on Thursday has said it needs to be removed.
I’m perfectly pragmatic about it; I’ve long since given up worrying about.
Anyway, all’s good here so long as the weather cools down asap.

That cleaning thing sounds just what I need! How do I do it?

I am just taking it as easy as I can today. Actually had my first good night’s sleep last night of a week of not much sleep! I hate the heatwave!!

Have managed to clean the kitchen this morning, teen DD is happy to potter about at home and I will try and put my feet up for the rest of the day and very look forward to temperatures of 23 tomorrow.

Lazy day for me today as its still going to be 31C.
Ive walked the dog, done my weight training and cardio and put a load of washing on, also had a tidy up (as long as its tidy nobody notices if I dont clean!!LOL).😄
Probably pop to the corner shop for an ice lolly later....

@lucysmam look up Rock the Housework there are tons of different cleaning sessions - it's part of The Organised Mum Method. You have to pay a patreon subscription but I find it worth it. There's probably other stuff out there that's free though. I like not having to think - Gemma tells me what to clean and I just do it!

I have just finished my stint at the village shop and I'm sitting down with a drink, some mending and the iPad.
I will do the laundry and perhaps dye some clothes. I have a linen dress that is mustard, a colour that does me no favours, so I'm going to try it with some navy blue dye, hoping for something closer to petrol blue.
DH is roasting a chicken to have cold with salad later.
Later, we are going to walk round the village, to vote for the best scarecrow.
