Any cheap air conditioner that works

Am struggling so much in the heatwave . Migraine headache for 3 days I can’t get rid of it even with my usual meds. Can’t sleep. Can’t work. I’m wondering has anyone found a cheaper air con unit I could even put in one room for some relief. House is very badly insulated - cold in winter hot in summer… everyone is suffering I know 🙈

Are you doing all the old tricks of sleeping on a damp towel, standing a frozen bottle of water in front of a fan, using a plant spray of water to spay yourself down with?

It’s just awful, the heat. It’s supposed to be better tomorrow.
