Anyone else awake tonight, waiting out a stomach bug

I was hoping to sleep but I've got a very upset stomach and been on the loo since about 4pm yesterday.

It's dawning on me that tomorrow might be a write off and I'm supposed to have a job interview in the afternoon. I'm weak, can't be sure that I won't need to go (like, really need to go) and feel I should probably let them know in the morning to ask if there's any possibility of rescheduling. IME that's not a good move though. I feel really trapped by the situation. My stomach is swollen and I'm not sure if Imodium or similar is a good idea. Also what if they propose an in person 2nd interview on Monday? I'm waiting for a call back from 111.

I really want to dose off but it's not happening. On the good side I'm breaking a sweat so maybe something is working.

What's keeping you up?

I'd phone first thing to let them know see if you can reschedule. My throat is keeping me up. Came on pretty sudden, the pain is all down one side of my throat as well. So pharmacy in the morning for me

Cystitis here.

At least that's all I hope it is because I don't fancy trying to get a prescription tomorrow. Already 4 sachets down, already had at least 3 litres of water since lunchtime so not quite sure why I'm here but I am.

I’d definitely phone and ask to reschedule, you won’t perform to your best ability and your mind will constantly worry about needing to go to the toilet.
I hope it passes quickly, remember to keep hydrated and just take tiny sips of water/electrolites regularly. I hope you feel better soon and good luck with the interview

im up as the thunder storm is right above me ! I thought someone had crashed outside my house when it first started. It’s possibly the most impressive storm I’ve ever seen/heard. sadly my alarm is going off at 0445 so I’m going to be very tired at work today.

It's going to be 2 stage interview.

I'm wondering whether to just try and cope with stage 1. My worry is that stage 2 will be very soon after stage 1 (and in person) - my currently very bloated belly is not going to be kind unless I miraculously get better soon.

And then there's also the worry, if I can postpone stage 1, they'll expect me to do stage 2 quite quickly.

I'm the last stage 1 candidate slot as I saw that when I signed up.

I'm just worried about the stress of the whole thing prolonging my recovery.

It's a manager level role.

I suppose at the least if I ask to reschedule then I might get a chance to get a bit better.
