Single mum of 2 girls dinner idea to celebrate 50th, 21st & 18th

Hi everyone

I'm not sure if this is the right area of MN to be asking this. I'm pretty sure it's not for AIBU!

This year is my 50th and my 2 daughters 21st & 18th birthdays - all at different times of the year of course, but I'm thinking I'd like to celebrate our milestones with a special meal out.

We are survivors of domestic violence and it will be 6 years since any of us had any contact with their dickhead of a father. We've come a long way and I'm so proud of them. I feel that this is an opportunity to celebrate more than just milestone birthdays.

I want to take them out for a really special dinner, it's not something we have ever done really, meals out and holidays yes, but not proper 'wow'.

We love oysters and we love steak.

I would love to hear if anyone has any suggestions or recommendations - we're in South London. I was thinking the Savoy, but maybe there's even better out there?

Thank you!

Steaks are not that special - steak houses like Hawksmoor have them. If you want glamour, the Savoy is as good as anywhere. I like Trinity in Clapham.

Thanks @MeetMeOnTheCorner I'll have a look at Trinity. I think I want to show them some glamour and make them feel special because they have never experienced it - I barely have!

I'll be saving up for it and it will be later in the year.

I’ve suggested Trinity because the food is very good but it’s not the Savoy or the Ritz in terms of glamorous looks!
