How should I wash a polyester satin skirt with lace trim?

Sorry I’m rubbish at household stuff - what is best to wash a satin (polyester) and lace trim skirt in ? It was sold as bnwt but smells awful ?? Chemical sort of smell possibly vapes ? One small (?sweat?) mark on waistband ?

Id send it back for a refund but I need it for Saturday and it fits perfectly but what is best to wash it in ? What sort of wash cycle ? Fabric conditioner or not ?

thankyou

Are there any instructions on the label.

Woolite or supermarket equivalent - shortest gentlest cycle then dry in the sunshine.

I'd go with lowest temperature wash and low spin , then hang it to dry tbh, possibly steam it if it needs it

I would buy some Stergene and hand wash it in warm water. Don't wring it out too tightly, roll it up in a dry towel for a few minutes and then hang it outside on a skirt hanger to dry.

If it's polyester id just put it in at 30 and line dry it, gently reshaping it (or dry flat if you think it needs it). I never use fabric conditioner so don't know if that's ok for this I'm sorry! I use Dr Beckmann's stain removers and the fat/grease one is excellent for most things - you apply a bit before washing as normal.

If possible hang on line first for a couple of hours. Than 2 x Dr Beckmann’s Washing Leaves, 30 degree delicates wash. Short 14 minute wash first.

As it’s polyester I’d wash it in a normal cycle but put it in a laundry bag to stop the lace snagging.

Thankyou !

Is there a wash label? Wash inside a 'delicates laundry bag'. Low temperature and spin setting. Hey Presto!

Edited

No it only had a label with the material type on and where it was made but no washing instructions!

Do you know the brand.

polyester will be fine to wash at 30 but put it on the delicates cycle or in a mesh bag so the lace doesn’t catch.
