Unexpected pregnancy after feeling your family was complete with older children

Has anyone had their family, thought they were done then unexpectedly found themselves pregnant? Is it harder with a big age gap or do the older ones (in my case 2 aged 7 and 9) accept it well and enjoy having a much younger sibling?
There definitely would NOT be anymore either so would youngest feel ‘alone’ or is that just worrying over nothing when they’d have friends and their older siblings ?

Also and hopefully this won’t sound awful but do you ever feel excited about an unplanned pregnancy? Is it just hard initially when you feel sick and stressed ? Does it ever feel like a planned exciting one or do you have to just make the best of it ?

I know a few people who went with that age gap, apparently deliberately, and seem perfectly happy. One of them did it twice.

I know someone who did it twice too.

The first three children were born close together. 9 years after the youngest was born she had a 4th and 7 years after that she had a fifth.

I think the first three enjoyed the fourth being around, but had left home by the time the fifth arrived.
