EasyJet cancelling flights

Have had our flight cancelled by Easyjet and bumped onto a later one. Don’t want the later one. Has anyone successfully managed to get money back from EasyJet when the do this? Thanks

When is your flight and how much later is the later one?

In the autumn gone from a 6am to a 3pm. The flight they have bumped us to is also much cheaper but it says they don’t refund the difference!

Of course you’ll successfully get your money back, just don’t accept the change

We had this last year ... there was a 6.30am and a 11.30am flight. We paid extra for the earlier one.

Months later they emailed to say the 6.30 flight was no longer running, they had cancelled that route at that time. So did we want a refund or to be put on the later one. We had booked accommodation so obv had to say book us on the 11.30.

A few weeks later, nearer to the actual date of departure, I noticed the 6.30 flight was back on their website. I emailed and spoke to someone asking to be put back on it ... their response was that we would have to pay again to move it.

Yes, in that case, you can cancel and get your full fare back (you don't get compensation since it is more than 14 days in advance (I know you didn't ask, but just adding)).

Of course. You either accept the change, or don't and get your money back.

The problem is I still need to get there and other providers flights have all gone up so will cost me more even if I get the refund off EasyJet. So bloody frustrating!
