Amazon account for 16 year old

According to Amazon you can’t set up an account for a 16 year old. Ive just bought DD a kindle paperwhite as a gift for working so hard for her GCSES.

I have a kindle and she has kindle fires which I have set up with my account when she was younger but the problem is that all my books show up on her device.

Does anyone know of a way to segregate the content so that her content at least feels like it’s just for her?

Also she won’t be able to buy new content using her own card but will have to use my account.

She is so excited about it and I haven’t told her all this as she will be so disappointed not to be able to manage it herself.

Any advice would be appreciated

I’ve set up household sharing on mine so I can share any of my Kindle purchases with my daughter - would that work for you?

There is a setting where it only shows yours or her books. On the library screen at the top you tap on the two arrows pointing each way and get the option of whose books you want to see.

Oh @Rocknrollstar that’s a big help thank you

Unfortunately I’m looking to do the opposite!
