Cooling blankets - any good?

I’ve been seeing adverts for cooling blankets - does anyone have one? Do they actually work?

Unless the blanket is like a giant fabric ice pack that you freeze before use, I do not see how a blanket can be cooling as the entire function of a blanket is to trap a layer of air around you which then warms up with the heat from your body. Marketing ploy.

I bought one -is a lovely texture but I won’t call it ‘cooling’ but nice to have on the bed instead of a duvet.

Just use a flat sheet.
