A couple I know have made something for our garden as they wanted a project for the summer. The materials alone would have cost over £100 but they are adamant they don't want paying.

Would like to get them a gift. They're pretty active, enjoy walks and afternoons out. Don't really go for meals as one has a medical issue that can be affected by eating, they do go to tea rooms and cafes, but looking for something a little different / special, and not sure what! Both drive so transport not a problem, looking for something in and around Derbyshire and the East Midlands area. Thank you mumsnetters!

Could you take them out walking somewhere like Dovedale or Manifold Valley? Sometimes just spending time with someone on a nice day out is nicer than a conventional gift. Or would they be interested in visiting a NT property like Chatsworth or Calke Abbey? If they don’t have a membership, the price of tickets/parking could be a nice gift?
