Please put water out for the birds .

With the weather being as hot as it is please consider birds and other wildlife by putting out some water for them as they are going to need it .
Also if you can , change the water a few times so it stays cool for them .

This is so important, and for insects too.
Shallow dishes/saucers on upturned flower pots filled with small pebbles or gravel (so the insects don’t drown) is also vital.

My ceramic ground birdbath had a family of snails around the rim. I had to remove them and have built them a shelter to go into. I have a stone ramp and a large pebble inside the bath to facilitate access for hedgehog, mice, whatever.

My bird bath is very popular at the moment.

I'm going to do as @Willow12345 suggests and put out some saucers of water too.

I’m also putting a shallow bowl out the back for the visiting hedgehogs and frogs we get. I have also put a dog bowl full of water out the front for the foxes tonight.
Must remember to drink more water myself 😁

have just put another bird bath out. a shallow dish with a few pebbles in it on an upturned flowerpot will do. am getting a lot of birds and squirrels visiting.
