Fear of rejection or simplest opinion is probably true?

Sons sports day is coming up. Parents have a very active friendly group chat. We all get on really well as it's a small sen school.

I posted to see if anyone wants to do a park meet up after sports day when the kids finish early. I have killed the group chat. No replies and mine is the last post for over a week.

My friend who has AHDH tells me this is fear of rejection syndrome. I think somethings are just exactly as they come across. Ie no one wants to do the meet up and equally they don't want to say no either.

I don't get the fear of rejection bit?

Is she saying they're going to agree to the park meet up and you're going to reject them and say they can't come?

Bit confused, sorry.
