DP has a best mate, if I’m being nice he’s just a bit of a loser, single, unemployed, no family in contact. Smokes too much weed and is an alcoholic. He’s absolutely not my kind of people but over the last couple of months he’s been sober so spending more time with us. Today he’s had a major relapse as it’s father day and he hadn’t seen his teen daughter for a good few years despite her being relatively local.
They’re currently sat in our garden and whilst DP is sipping his beer, friend is downing his can faster and faster. Every so often he’ll come through the house and just start waffling on a load of rubbish. It’s stories I don’t particularly care about and for some reason he does a weird American accent.
I just want to relax in peace before the working week starts tomorrow. I don’t want to have to deal with a hungover DP. Anyone else fed up of being a gracious hostess?
