Bloody vacuum-packed mince ! As if making a lasagne in this heat isn't bad enough!

It does take a minute extra for me, but no more than that. It certainly isn’t a big deal.

Agree with the mince. Have had to stop buying that vacuum packed shit. It changes the texture making it mealy and rubbery. Waitrose have done away with most of the packaging but put it packets that still enable the meat to be ‘loose’ so we either buy that or buy the Aberdeen Angus or wagyu mince you can still buy in the older style packaging. It costs more though so I have to stretch it to two meals.
