Best ready made pizza bases

• *What are the best ready made pizza bases that you can buy to make pizzas in a portable pizza oven? We are having a largish family gathering (12) and I want to keep it easy by making pizzas with salads etc outside in the garden. I know that I could make them myself, but last time I tried this for a much bigger gathering…..I ended up making 23 pizza bases which was not practical or desirable! I want to chill this time, and buy ready made bases that taste great and will support the weight of 2 or 3 toppings too. They will be made and cooked one at a time whilst the family chat and have a drink. Any ideas gratefully accepted.

Sainsburys do a pack of two. You don’t have to roll them out, just put your toppings on and bake.

I like Crosta mollica - they also have the tomato base already on so it is just toppings to add. Not cheap though!

Crosta Mollica are the best. As per above poster they are not cheap but far superior to others.

Came here to say Crosta & Mollica but a few of you have beat me to it. Just like good wood fired pizza.

You can sometimes get them on offer, also if you have a Costco card you can get twin packs for about £7 ready topped so a good saving compared with supermarkets.

Crosta Mollica tomato bases too, I can’t eat cheese so these are the only ones I have now.

If I can’t find these I’ll buy a pack of large Roti flatbreads instead, over any other dry pizza base biscuit discs

We usually make our pizzas straight onto naan bread and they’re great. Much nicer than most pre-made pizza bases, I suspect the Croasta Mollica ones are nicer but they’re so pricy! It works best on a better quality naan bread and we use Clay Oven plain naan breads.

We have a local cash and carry place that do them fairly cheaply maybe try somewhere like that local if you have one?

We get Handmade Naan Company garlic naans from Costco, which are excellent and about £4.50 for 2 x 5 packs.

We use some as pizza bases and they aren't quite as good as the holy grail that is Crosta & Mollica but about a fifth of the price so a huge saving.

We keep leftover ones in the freezer if we're not going to use the rest of the pack in a few days.

I’ve tried most options but none are close to homemade unfortunately, I have 2 bread machines though to simplify things
