Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my conservatory spot. Neither cat has joined me this morning - boy's in the kitchen and girl has gone back to bed with dd2.

I'm up earlier than usual for a weekend as dd1's train is almost here after she attended a gig in Cardiff last night - we're off to one in Halifax tonight & she wants to queue 🙄. At least the weather's nice for it!

Dd2 was offered a ticket as we won a pair as well as having bought ours but said no - she's not really into the artist so fair enough. She's in the midst of clearing out her GCSE work & deciding which bits might be useful for A Level History, so she'll continue that.

While we queue, I'm going to send a fit note to work for the coming week - not sure how to phrase the email yet but I'm feeling rather discriminated against at the moment & cannot be doing with the added stress they're causing!

No idea what we're eating - probably meal deals or something vastly overpriced & not worth it 🙄. Hopefully there are water stations!

@MarmaladeSandwich7 we're seeing Ethel Cain - quite niche & not to everyone's taste. I wasn't convinced when dd introduced their music a couple of years ago.

We're on the train to Leeds & I've just realised my earphones are still at home <sigh>.

Oh I see @Simonjt I still think standard Hyrox is impressive though. I'm more of a gym potterer!

Morning all

Im just lounging about a bit. Was out last night and was great but was a long day at work too so a bit tired.

DH is away with the dog and the kids are just relaxing doing various things. I plan on just pottering and reading today. Feel like I need a break. Been a busy few weeks and more to come until end of term so will enjoy it while it lasts.

Easy pizzas for tea

I've got a summer cold, so was hoping to have a lie-in this morning... But pretty much wide awake by 6am... So much for that.
Was in Asda by 7:30. It's only a fairly small store, so that's the only tolerable time to day to go. Got most bits, including a nice-looking yellow sticker quiche, which we'll have for tea with some veg this evening. Then round to Waitrose to collect an Amazon parcel and to Greggs for a coffee and sausage sandwich.

Managed to get my washing out on the line early, and just about managed to get it all dry before a shower of rain came. Just a single bra and vest top still a bit damp, so that was a decent job.

Read my book for a while, and now debating what I want to do with the afternoon... The problem is, everywhere is busy on a Saturday afternoon! I think I might just stay in with my cold, and perhaps go out tomorrow instead.

Lovely and warm and sunny here. Quick shop at Aldi, a load of washing on the line and booked some accommodation for a trip to Porto. DH and DS1 have gone into town on some errands, I’m tracking what DS2 who is currently in Budapest is up to, and eating ice cream.
Something and salad for tea, and more football later.

Busy day here. DH and I cut the hedge this morning, DS was out at a football tournament.
Quick lunch and then out volunteering in the sunshine 🌞. DH hung the washing out and went for a bike ride.
Everyone is home now, but DS is sorting his tea before going out again.
I'm having a snack before I think about food for DH and me.
TV and wine tonight cos I'm knackered after a busy week at work.
Will have a read back now.

It’s just me, 18yo and the dog home right now. 22yo is away in Newcastle for a long weekend for a convention thing and DH has just left for work. He’s at least picking up a Vinted order for me on his way.

I’m full of a cold/bug thing still. Caught it last Saturday and was feeling ill from Tuesday onwards and still pretty rough. Had an awful headache from it today too.

18yo and I were going to try and go into town for Father’s Day stuff today but there was a protest thing going on so decided to stay home and go out tomorrow instead. I won’t be seeing my dad for a bit yet, kids are seeing theirs on Tuesday and if they get anything for DH then he understands why we didn’t go out today.

I will need to run to the shop around the corner at some point though, almost out of tissues which I’m still going through rapidly and I really fancy a nice cold can of Coke to cool myself down. Since I can’t have alcohol right now a can of Coke feels like a nice treat instead especially when I’m watching footy.

I look out for your thread every Saturday and enjoy seeing what you and your girls are up to and of course the cats! I'm sorry you are feeling discriminated against at work, why is that? Have you been unwell? that's so unfair!
