Any recommendations for restaurants with a view outside Edinburgh?

Maybe near Portobello or similar?
Taking dc out. Likes Italian or American food. Somewhere near a beach would be lovely. Anywhere on trend would be good too.

South Queensferry, there's a decent restaurant where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Forth bridge. I can't remember the name but I'll ask my ex and get back to you!

Queensferry…The Railbridge, Thirty Knots, Outboard or Scott’s (latter 3 are all same group but different menus). Also Rogue Bros @ The Boathouse.

Drift on the clifftop outside north Berwick. More of a cafe though, perhaps check the menu. You do have to book. You can scramble down to the beautiful bay below.

Orocco pier- South Queensferry. Plus all the other SQ ones mentioned, particularly Scott's at Port Edgar.

Ok, it was called The Three Bridges but is now called Thirty Knots. We had a super meal with our 21 yr old DS, hope it's still as good. The views were exceptional and will go back at some point soon as DS lives not too far away. Enjoy whatever you choose!

There are disappointingly few restaurants with great views around Edinburgh. I know you said outside Edinburgh but you can’t beat the views from Cafe Calton on top of Calton Hill

I came on to say South Queensferry too.

Old Chain Pier or El Castillo in Newhaven

I came to say The Railbridge in South Queensferry then wander down the high street for an ice cream afterwards.
