Agadoo still boils my blood 😖

Kickinthenostalgia · 19/06/2026 23:18

Opera or classical

pinkpony88 · 19/06/2026 23:19

Anything by Kylie

LondonPainter · 19/06/2026 23:23

What’s the point of that Tin Tin Out song? 🙉
Proud Mary can also get in the bin

Bohemian Rhapsody 🤢

Oh God yes!! It’s so over dramatic and it goes onnnn for ages!
Anything by ABBA, and I find Meatloaf songs are also over dramatic and long. Not a fan of screechy females who like to “show off” their vocal abilities, they make me suck my teeth.
Menopause makes me easily irritated, I spend the day swearing at the radio😄

Moonlightdust · 19/06/2026 23:29

Oh and that flipping awful You raise me up song that BGT and X factor in the past seemed to play on repeat alongside everything in slow motion and people getting to their feet clapping and cheering - ultimate cringeworthy and rage inducing!! 🤬

I gotta feeling. Black Eyed Peas

Yesss so over played!

Another couple -

Ironic by Alanis Morisette (who obviously doesn't understand what ironic actually means)

You bet your life it is - Tori Amos

Hold on by Wilson Philips

White Flag (Dido)

All Dido.

GellerYeller · 20/06/2026 00:01

Agree with PPs on Love Shack. It’s the nasally spoken bits that really enrage me.
Anything by the Manic Street Preachers. Utter drivel.
Ronan Bleating: ‘the ssshhhmile on yuurrr fasshhhe’. Pish off mate.

Dancing in the Moonlight by Toploader makes me feel murderous

Oh, agreed.
I'll turn it off every time.
Also, Birdhouse in Your Soul and Breakfast at Tiffany's

Sound of Silence by Disturbed.

I have a literal physical reaction to that song, I hate it so much.

I'm tolerant of a lot of music I dont particularly like and can generally sit through songs or artists I'm not a fan of (years of being in an office with the repetitive dirge of Heart or Capital radio).... but my god, if that Disturbed song comes on (semi regularly on Absolute Radio), I have to turn it off

Absolutely with you on this - cannot, on any level, understand what people like about this cover version.

generally I love music - indie kid at heart, but really can find or appreciate something in most tunes. I do however, always turn off the radio at Stars and who let the dogs out. Abominations, both.

Do you mean Cornflake girl by Tori Amos?

greatvisuals · 20/06/2026 00:16

The Archers theme tune, every bloody day. It's even worse on Sunday.

I say noooo! loudly, as I turn it off.

Anything by Ash, especially Girl From Mars. I also get very annoyed by Northern soul.

Shock
SirChenjins · 20/06/2026 00:19

@SharpPoet Oh probably - I don't know what it's called, just that she wangs on about 'you bet your life it is' while plonking away on the piano. Hate the song.

Where is my husband? - Raye

Ditto. It's way too frantic.
In the past Minnie Rippertons Loving You....it was played a lot when I was pregnant, and the very high notes she hits, for some odd reason made me feel nauseous.

SharpPoet · 20/06/2026 00:22

Fair enough - love it but loathe Professional widow…

Greenfingers37 · 20/06/2026 00:33

Seventeen going under-Sam Fender.
Absolutely brilliant song but it was played in the operating theatre where my nephew had his organs harvested following an awful
accident. I can’t bear it now 😞

Little Drummer Boy. For obvious reasons. It makes me feel sick Sad

This. Knowledge I wish I didn't have.

On a different note Perfect 10. Makes me cringe so hard I may crash the car.

What is the story with LDB?

IdBeLionIfISaid · 20/06/2026 00:51

@SirChenjins I'll PM you so it's not on here in case anyone else doesn't want to know.
