All of these give me the rage and I have to switch off or talk over them or walk out of the room:
The Doors "Light my Fire" - oh fuck off with your demands, you arrogant, writhy, leather clad asshole.
The Oasis one about the sister and blister - awful rhymes for no reason and, like most Oasis songs, it makes no sense.
Billy Ocean "Red Light" for being rapey.
Also can't stand "Get into my Car" or "Caribbean Queen".
Rod Stewart "Sexy" song.
Madonna "Like a Virgin" and "Like a Prayer" and actually anything by Madonna - she sounds like Pinky and/or Perky but with less vocal talent.
David Bowie "Modern Love" - aaargh!
Eagles "Hotel California" - I don't really dislike this song, but if you've ever lived in the US you'll know that it's inescapable and seems to be played on the radio every 30 minutes.
Van Morrison "Brown Eyed Girl" - don't know why, but I utterly despise this song.
And on all of the following I agree with PP:
Santana "Smooth" - major rage!
Toploader "Dancing in the Moonlight" - I can't explain why I hate it so very much!
Ash "Girl from Mars" - I think it's the (lack of) scansion in the lyrics and the frantic pace.
Spin Doctors "Two Princes" - this was also inescapable on American radio at the time.
Beautiful South "Perfect Ten" - because it's sleazy disguised as woke, bleurgh.
