Murcia

Can anyone recommend any family resorts near to Murcia airport? We have flights but no accommodation yet!! 4 adults, 8 & 2 year old! Thank you!

Los Alcazares is a family friendly place, probably about 20 minutes from Murcia airport. It’s on the Mar Menor so the sea is calm and shallow. We’ve had many a family holiday there when our 3 children were younger. There’s a plaza with restaurants leading down to the beach and lots of things go off around there in the evening to keep the kids entertained.

There’s also La Manga which is a strip with the Mar Menor one side and the Med Sea the other, so lots of big waves.It’s a bit further along from Los Alcazares though.

I’d definitely recommend hiring a car though, as there are lots of areas to explore and Torrevieja has a bit market and fun fair each evening which our children used to love.

We have many happy memories of those holidays and hope you get to do the same.
