All sensitive toothpaste causing skin to come off inside of mouth or making tongue sore

A lot of toothpastes (and shampoos) now use SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) in the formulation as it's a foaming agent, and this can cause irritation and soreness. Try and find one without it.

EDIT
Have you tried any of these?

That sounds extreme! 😲
Are you sure it is from toothpaste?

DDS told me to make a paste of cornflour and a toothpaste containing arginine https://www.boots.com/colgate-sensitive-instant-relief-repair-and-enamel-strength-toothpaste-20ml-10341949 and put it on the tooth. Worked very well.

I used to use sensodyne rapid relief but they changed the formula. My dentist recommended the one posted by @BaguetteLady . He also said use it all the time don't mix with other toothpastes.

I had such sensitive teeth, until I started using Biomed toothpastes. I've been using them for about 5 years now and don't have any issues anymore. They contain 97–98% natural ingredients, including hydroxyapatite for enamel remineralization, along with L-arginine, plant extracts, and essential oils. The are free from chemicals like SLES, parabens, and synthetic colours. I don't work for them or have any connection in anyway, I just think they are fantastic. I buy mine either from Holland & Barrett or Amazon.
