Can you watch live TV (BBC1, ITV etc) on a smart TV without an aerial.

We are looking to buy a new home that does not have an aerial for terrestrial TV and the location of the TV will cause issues in bringing one to it from the roof / loft.
Is there a legitimate way to have the usual terrestrial live TV just using WiFi alone? Is there a box or something that you can buy? We have no clue!

Yes, Freely will allow you to do this or you can watch live tv on separate apps like iPlayer and ITVX. I haven’t had an aerial for years and it hasn’t been a problem.

Ooh such an interesting question. I’m looking to help my elderly mum buy a tv and the reception is likely to be iffy. Now I’ll just have to help her use a smart tv with apps! 😀

I pay £25 a month for Sky Stream, all the channels via wifi, no cables/ariel/dish required.
