What do you think about Jen Hamilton's situation? Please don't post if you don't know who she is or what has happened.

I know this site isn't Tattle and I am not interested in picking an Instagram Influencer apart - especially as I think she's fab from the random reels I see cropping up - but I now feel she's got herself in a right old pickle just because she has become a highly popular internet person. I almost feel like this could be a cautionary tale to other would-be influencers?

I'm certain that she's a wise and well educated woman, and yet even she has become so used to sharing everything online, that she eventually over-shared in a way she really regretted (and could have foreseen tbh) - and this is a perfect demonstration of how the allure of attention and likes and follows can damage you (and your family and children) ultimately. It seems to me like an addiction and the addiction wins over the rational side of your brain?

To repeat: I am NOT judging her! But I find it interesting that someone who appears to be so internet savvy can still make a big mistake.

I think she’s a very good and sweet woman who has done an incredible amount of good for many people. She’s clearly suffering terribly due to the break up of her marriage and she’s lost at the moment. I don’t think any less of her and anyone that matters won’t either.

I think she’s really vulnerable at the moment. She posted in that moment to feel less alone and then took it down because she thought better of it. She also asked that people stop talking about it.

I agree, I think she's a lovely woman, who's really making a difference and empowering pregnant women in a country where their rights are being stripped away in such an alarming way. And doing so many other kind things too - she's really quite amazing for one person!

I do think she's very genuine, in her posting and the way she sees her followers as friends, and she's made the mistake of treating her online 'friends' as real friends.

I feel very sad for her, and hope she's got good people to turn to in real life.
