WWYD hitting at school.

So I need some advice from the wonderful people of Mumsnet, please...my teenager is being hit at school, by this one lad ( 1 kick, every now and then from the same lad) I've told him he has to learn how to hit back but he won't, even though he says he will.

DS really does not want to grass. He's just adamant this is not a option. I can see why, but also I think if we don't it'll escalate. I can't seem to make him see sense. The conversation just keeps going round and round. We know the parents of the child, is it worth going down that route.

Any advice would be welcome, anyone been in a similar situation, what did you do.

How old is he? If my DC cannot advocate for themselves I will do it on their behalf

'Teenager' doesn't tell us much about his age.

It's a difficult one though if he doesn't want/is too afraid to have anything done about it.

He is old enough to speak up for himself, he 15, and can certainly communicate with his teachers to say what is happening.

Tell him one swift kick to the balls should do the trick in correcting this boys errant leg.

Tell your son that if he doesn’t tell the school that you will. Unless her can retaliate which in reality would be more effective.

As much as I try and tell to hit back, I frankly think he is scared. He's not a big lad by any means, and this lad has just taken a dislike to him!

Its so difficult to know what to do.
