I'm pretty close to 60.lost some back teeth due to I'll health iny late 20s and now my final back one is being removed.
I've never wanted dentures, considered implants but I know they are pricey.
Any one got any back ones and are they ok to get used to?
Dm got some years ago and never used them!!

I've had them for a few years now. Upper and lower. I have no back teeth top or bottom on one side.
The upper will be easier to wear because they cling to the roof of your mouth.

I've lost teeth due to an emergency resuss situation needing surgery.
I was and still am over the moon that I've got them. I feel complete again.

All are NHS.

I moved house and got a new dentist . Needing a new lower denture I notice that the one provided is much nicer and more comfortable than my original bottom set . Maybe a different supplier.

I think the original bottom didn't fit properly. In hindsight .

Therefore I'd advise trying for a perfect fit and don't be shy to insist . Mine are so comfortable I forget they're in.

Give it a go. I hope you have a good experience.

On mine the plate area is very minimal.
In just a few days of wearing them I felt completely comfortable. Very happy too.

Dentures are as light as a feather. I was expecting a pair of heavy thick monstrosities. Like my grandparents had. Thank goodness I was wrong 😅
