I’ve been reading about Nadine Buzzard-Quashie, wrongful arrest, ? Police corruption. It seems totally bonkers!

It seems insane. She posted examples of racist abuse she got on Twitter. Then gets arrested for malicious communication. Seems like she was treated awfully at the police station. After release she asked for all the cctv footage of her in the cell.

seems like they dragged their feet about it then she finally got it. It had graphic footage of her genitals when using the toilet. She’s then driving around with the discs in her car. This is where it gets slightly hazy, she was reported missing (not sure who by) and she admits she was close to a break down.

Northamptonshire police find her and she says she’s fine but they follow her. The Met police are literally on the radio to Northamptonshire police telling them to arrest her. They don’t put blues and twos on but just deploy a stinger. Which stops her. Met police are telling Northamptonshire to arrest her for lack of capacity or failure to stop. The bodycam footage of the police you can hear them saying but she seems to have capacity and we didn’t actually try to stop her. They arrest her anyway and are definitely looking for the envelope with the footage in which they find and remove….some discs have never been seen before.

both police forces spend some time denying everything. The chief constable has now been done for contempt of court, found guilty and fined 50k. But still appears to be in a job! Three police officers being investigated for perverting the course of justice. Wtf! it seems unbelievable. Her civil case against the police will be heard next year.

Found this as well about that case. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c0kdg7ekg55o

because my gut reaction was it can’t have happened because custody suites have CCTV. Only to read two hours of footage has disappeared. How convenient. Makes you sick. These could be more Wayne Couzens. Nothing has changed.
