Very sore throat after repeated vomiting from a hangover, any tips?

I’ve been extremely hungover today (which has been awful and I am seriously done with drinking for a while). I am not exaggerating when I say this but in the space of about 13 hours I’ve been sick at least 10 times I reckon (and it hasn’t just been once each time, I’ve actually vommed about 3-4 times on average). Most of it has been yellow bile.

I am feeling more human now thank god but it hurts so much to swallow, it’s awful. I am trying to sip water but it’s not helping. I think I may have damaged my throat / oesophagus from all of the vomiting.

Does anyone have any tips on how to soothe it? I’ve for some ice cream which I might try eating. If it’s no better tomorrow morning I think I’ll call my GP.

I have had plenty of hangovers like that in my time - I also get migraines like the OP. In tbe end I had to completely stop drinking.

You have my sympathies. I drank all day yesterday watching all the football with friends.. I'm currently drinking chilled green tea with honey and ginsing. I've decided I'm going back to bed for the rest of the day ( it's lunchtime here). My lovely husband is going out to the British shop to get me rich tea biscuits and Heinz tomato soup. I’ve not been sick ‘in the early hours’ for about 20 years and unfortunately I’ve had some raging hangovers since. I guess people are different but if I’ve got a bad hangover, I will be sick the next day (although it’s typically a handful of times at worst)

As others have said, it’ll be the stomach acid. Your throat will heal and your hangover will subside. If you are normally in good health, I wouldn’t worry.

My throat feels a lot better today but now I feel like I’ve got acid reflux and weirdly things are tasting funny…

Okay things taste weird. Water tastes weird. It feels like the back / soft part of my throat has an odd sensation arghh is this normal

You just threw up too much and damaged your throat.

Again, op no. It's not normal. Expected given your circumstances but not at all normal.

Two alcoholic parents will do that to you. Alcohol is poison. When you drink your poisoning yourself willingly. For "fun" this sounds so far from fun and it is not normal.
