Things to do around Luton during a long weekend stay

👋 anyone live in luton? Heading down for a few days next month to see iron maiden at knebworth and staying in Luton. Arriving Friday, concert the Saturday and heading back on the Tuesday. What can we do (apart from drink) around the area?

Harpenden, St Albans and Hitchin are worth a look round for shops / places to eat and drink.

Wardown and Stockwood parks (in Luton) are both lovely for a wander.

Harry Potter Studios.
Depending on how “local” and what transport you have.

Leave it and go to London by train for the day.

I’d get out of Luton as much as possible 😂

Harpenden and St Albans are close and full of nice restaurants and shops. St Albans abbey and adjacent lakes are worth a visit. Or visit Hatfield House, or the Hitchin lavender fields which open next week.

Whipsnade Zoo

Wrest Park and house are beautiful and have lots of things going on (English Heritage). Also Woburn Abbey and wildlife park is quite close
