Eyebrow pencil for blondes, that isn’t red/orangey?! (And talc free?)

I am mousey blonde with very fair brows and lashes.

I try my best to dye my brows a bit darker but they’re still rather patchy. So I need pencil or similar to fill in the gaps, otherwise I look vaguely like a mad professor..!

But every blonde pencil I’ve tried recently is too red/orange?

Can anyone recommend good brow pencil that are actually suitable for blondes?

I also try to avoid Talc in products now, after the Johnson and Johnson scandal revealed Talc can be contaminated with asbestos - sadly that rules out my previous favourite eye brow palette from Soap and Glory :(

Interested as I need the same thing. Even ones labelled 'ash' seem to be warm.

I have used Billion Dollar Babe (bdb) universal eyebrow pencil. It's American but I get it in tk max. I find it quite natural.

Sorry it's billion dollar beauty - bdb

I’ve been using the Maybelline super fluff brow mousse in soft brown, which I really like. They do a blond version as well, which I’ve not tried, but you could search for any reviews etc.

Not a pencil but I like this pen in Brown. I once bought the dark brown by mistake and it was much too dark. I used to use pencils and found the same as you.

This elf brow pencil is great - as you can see I’ve purchased 6 times 😂. Just £6.99 on Amazon - shade taupe is a nice cool light brown

I use Rimmel light brown brow mascara. It's sort of mouse-coloured rather than reddish. looks ashy on the brush but light brown when applied.

Lancôme, or Dior make a great pencil taupe-ash color for true blondes. Any of the big names probably do. They last a long time. I don't know about talc content.

They are great but I needed to practise a lot to get it right, on the hairs rather than the skin.

Lancome Brow Define Pencil, 04, Light Brown. Perfect. I am fair with cool, ashy colouring.

missspent · 13/06/2026 17:54

I use Goofproof from Benefit in shade 2

LittlestBoho · 13/06/2026 19:37

Light brown or blonde pencils always come out red on me. Strangely, a dark grey pencil works much better and isn't too dark.

This Anastasia Beverley Hills one in Taupe

MabelMoo23 · 13/06/2026 19:59

I’m platinum blonde - you need Anastasia Beverly Hills in taupe

DamnBuster · 13/06/2026 20:03

It's really tricky, they all seem to be yellow or ginger.

i had high hopes for the Anastasia Beverley Hills powder brow duo but thats really yellow. it used to be really ashy years ago but they've reformulated. the brow whiz is yellow too.

Blinc used to do a great blonde brow gel but again, the colours have warmed up.

watching with interest.
