Looking for advice from anyone who has managed to smash that old glass ceiling in the corporate world - anyone at c-suite or partner level.
I’ve been lurking at the ‘one-layer-below’ senior manager level for years. I’ve changed companies in case that was the problem. I work hard and get good results. I (try) and get on with everyone though the nature of senior management is sometimes people won’t like what you have to say. I really want to progress, I’d love to be CEO of a big company one day - I have vision and ideas and could do a way better job than most of the pale male stale men I see in these roles.
But something is holding me back and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.
Anyone out there - what did you do to get that final push? What advice would you give to someone hanging out on the next rung down?
