Motorola e13 not supporting Specsavers hearing aid remote app

Apps for SpecSavers hearing aids. The phone does not support the Hearing Remote app that is fitted. The fault is intermittent. So far recommendation is uninstall and reinstall, switch aids off and on again after 5 seconds.
I have emailed SpecSaver Head Office, waiting for reply.
Has anyone else had this problem? New Phone £250. Any suggestions. Phone is Motorola e13.

Unfortunately that's a relatively old phone that's no longer supported by Motorola. It's also running an old version of Android that can't be updated. I'm not sure there's any solution.

You could try doing a factory reset on the phone but be warned, if you do that you'll lose any photos etc that are saved on it and you'll have to set up all the apps again from scratch. And there's no guarantee it'll help.

@Moros , Thank you for your answer and explanation. It was at a bargain price for a reason then.
It is only two years old. How can we be sure that what I buy is latest technology? I suppose I have to trust the sales staff.

That phone was first sold in 2023. GSMArena is usually a good site for checking Android phone specs.

For low end Android phones like the E13 you often only get one or two years of updates. For medium to high end phones you'll more usually get three or even four years.

@Moros Thank you, I will definitely try and buy something with a longer effective life.
It seems that the App itself has its moods and is sometimes unstable. Will another make of App enable the Bluetooth to control settings?
