About to start. I know how bad they can be.

but wanting opinions on any websites out there which are more serious.

specifically for professionals and people wanting serious long term relationships?

Best one is the guy your thinking about

He doesn’t exist!

I’ve heard Hinge is ok

Lastofthesummerwines · 09/06/2026 01:05

I feel they are all as bad as each other. Avoid POF and Tinder I guess but I once signed up for Match and paid and it was the same men on them all.

FeistyFrankie · 09/06/2026 04:57

They're all dreadful. Hinge was better at first (I received less overtly sexual and inappropriate messages from men on there), but it's also full of married men looking for an ego boost/opportunity to cheat. So I'd just avoid altogether, OP.

CaffeinatedSeagull · 09/06/2026 07:02

I know people who have met through Match and ended up marrying each other… I also know a lot who will say to avoid the free ones.

I genuinely think meeting people IRL is much better. Singles events are getting a lot more popular that might be a better option.

humpetyhump · 09/06/2026 07:14

Yes I would avoid the free ones. Wouldn’t consider POF or Tinder. have heard of Hinge and Bumble?

I don’t know how on earth I’m going to meet someone if I don’t online date. I’m 34 and a single mum. I literally go to work (0 opportunity here) and don’t have a hobby or anywhere else I could meet someone
