I’m just laughing at how pathetic some of the right winged idiots are.

How quickly many of them are turning on Henry Nowak now that they’re seeing most of his social media posts with his friends and family - many of whom are not white or are of different religions.

So many of them have quickly lost their apparent sympathy now they know he can’t used as their racist poster boy.

His family are having to deal with racist abuse on their SM as they’re not all white - but I thought this wasn’t about race?!

But it is unenglish - its a lovely surname with i'm sure a fantastic meaning and heritage.

These are plurals in your post: accounts, nephews, friends, weeks, idiots, things, Christian's. You have put apostrophes quite correctly in they've and they're. Why did you put an apostrophe in the plural Christians? Maybe it was an oversight. I think it must have been.

So you are telling us that you think some folk were sympathetic towards Henry but that they're now upset to find that Henry had Polish ancestry and had mixed-race relations, because they didn't realise that the name Nowak was a bit eastern-European sounding, and they're miffed that he had mixed-race relations. O.K. I don't disbelieve you. Nowak, spelled with a w and pronounced Novak as if it's spelled with a v, is not unlike the name Paderewski and its pronunciation.
About 20-15 years ago some folk around here were angry about the large number of Eastern Europeans who'd come over to work, and they were accused of racism. I used to be irritated by that. Zenophobia, yes, racism no. In a general way I think some people throw the word 'racist' around carelessly. I do think that Henry and Digwa were of different races, just for the record - not too difficult.

I have seen some fairly appalling racist screenshots of comments about his sister/her child being shared on threads. I won’t post them here because they are vile, but if posters don’t believe me then they can search for themselves quite easily.

I heard numerous people say it’s not about race it’s about X, Y, Z but this has proven that for many it absolutely is about race.

Racism is a part of this tragedy because The killer and his brother accused Henry of racism . They lied. Henry wasn’t racist.
The police handcuffed Henry and ignored his 9 pleas for help because he had been stabbed.
The police had been trained to view accusations of racism as the most serious accusation- to the extent that they handcuffed Henry as he lay dying - obviously no threat to anyone.

Why are you not angry about the way Henry was treated when he lay dying?

The police were wrong to treat Henry as the aggressor when he was really the victim - it’s valid to feel angry about that.

It’s obviously not ok to riot or be racist or intimidate the Sikh community.

The person responsible for Henry’s death is Digwa. The police contributed to the pain and suffering of Henry because they took accusations of racism more seriously than accusations of stabbing.

Believing that there is two tier policing in this country does not mean you’re a far right racist.

Dont use Henry’s death to make facetious points about the “far right”. Henry wasn’t killed by the far- right.

People are allowed to be angry over what happened. There is no “twisted agenda” - just legitimate concern and valid criticism .

I think OP has encountered some nasty people on social media and perhaps should take a break from that or not believe everything they read on it anyway.
