Operation Mincemeat the musical, just wow! Has anyone else seen it?

Completely blown away by Operational Mincemeat musical. Funny, clever and unexpectedly moving in parts. Has left such a strong impression and would highly recommend..it's the best thing I've seen in London in ages!

We were fortunate to win lottery tickets so just £30 for a stalls ticket.

Has anyone else seen it / loved it?

We were blown away by it - superb acting, funny script, great songs and genuinely moving at times. We’ve now seen it twice, and I’d happily go again.

I feel the same and I never watch a show more than once. I know someone who has seen it 8 times!

I’ve now been 6 times. I first saw it at the Southwark Playhouse when the tickets were £10. I think it will prove to be one of the best shows of the last 50 years (and I’ve seen a LOT of shows)

Not yet. Two colleagues have been and said it's really good. I should go really.

Oh it’s absolutely wonderful. Hester was my favourite. I cried.

I didn't think a song about roses would make me cry so much. Beautifully done

Yes I was blown away earlier this year. Such a good show.

I've seen it twice. Very quick, clever and witty, love it. The song you're referring to is called Dear Bill. OM manages to take the mickey out of upperclass spies/English people of the 1940s and be respectful to the dead man.

I saw it in London a while ago (like a PP, I won the ticket lottery - full price tickets were so expensive!), and caught it again recently when the tour came through my town.

God it's brilliant 😁

The quick changes, the multi-casting, the simple but so versatile set, the fact that you stop seeing the male actor playing Hester as a man in seconds... the heart, the comedy, the perfect balance of satire and respect where it matters... and that's before you even get to the songs!

It's my absolute favourite, I am scouring the tour schedule to see if I can get anywhere else to see it again (or of not, I'll try the London lottery again!).

I’ve seen it twice and recommended it to countless people! Utterly brilliant. Would happily see it again tomorrow.

My favourite show ever. And I have seen A LOT of shows! I wasn’t expecting to like it particularly due to the tiny cast and role swapping but it was utterly amazing. Booked to see it again 4 days after the first time!

Ooo I have a familial connection to the Man Who Never Was. I’d not heard there was a musical

I love it!! See the username !

Yes! It's fantastic. I saw it in the Fortune Theatre, Covent Garden and it's a delightful theatre. I think that added to the general gloriousness. The song Dear Bill is just wonderful.

Sitwithit · 08/06/2026 20:18

I'm going on Wednesday and am looking forward to it even more now!

I think you mean, "somewhat cramped and uncomfortable" about the Fortune! I was pleased to be able to order interval refreshments to my seat. I went in May last year.

I’ve seen it 4 times and have it booked again for September and next February! 😁😁 I go to the theatre a lot - it is by far my favourite musical. Christian Andrews is my favourite Hester - he is no longer in the west end but is on the UK tour.
