Neighbours top blew over into our garden yesterday, we have tried multiple times to hand it back, we know they are in as the car is there, do we keep trying or not? There is nowhere to put it safely because of the designs of the houses.

Do they normally ignore you? Throw it over the fence.

Put it on their doorstep?

Do you like the top? Put it on and strut up and down outside their window.

A top? Like, item of clothing? Push it through their letterbox.

A top like a tshirt? Chuck it back over the fence 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sorry like a blouse! I told the husband to put it on the wall, that separates us but he didn’t think that was a good idea!

Top of what? Or top to wear? Spinning top? Top of something?
Top piece of clothing just hang it up in the hall until you see one of them and then hustle down the street swinging it round your head, Mrs, Mrs, I've got your top!
Anything else just hang on to it or chuck it over the wall? 😂

Can't you shove it through their letterbox with a note?

Put it in a carrier bag and hang it on their door.

Put it in a bag with a note and leave it on the door step. Or I guess you could put it in a bag with a note and lob it back over the fence. That would be funny!

A few options:

1. Will it fit through the letterbox?
2. Push a note through the letterbox saying you have it and ask them to collect it
3. Put it inside a carrier bag, then either leave it over the fence (not sure as you have stated about the house design?) or tie the bag to their door handle?
