M&S Indulgent Treats

Hi!

I am going on Mum strike for a whole day and night next week. DH has booked me into a spa hotel and I can’t wait. I do have an evening meal included but I am planning to have that early (as soon as the spa closes for the day) and then once I’ve eaten disappear off to my hotel room to read my book and later, watch a film in bed.

Looking for some indulgent snack recommendations from M&S. Need to be non-refrigerated. Yes it is completely greedy but I’m treating myself, so I couldn’t care less.

What are your favourites?

Thanks!

Thanks to this thread I now need to try Big Daddy Bites. Trying to be good with snacks.

I can take or leave M&S cookies though.

This is worth buying one of their insulated bags for! Put a couple of cocktail cans in the fridge and it will help keep the dip cool for evening.

Then drink the cocktails! Have a lovely time!

Definitely. Add an ice pack. M&S used to do nice tiny pastry bite things but not anymore. Scotch eggs, pork pies, Charlotte potato salad. Cheese and chorizo muffins. There’s a small m&s in a petrol station near my new workplace, must investigate further.

Fresh olives
one of their layered dips
prawn cocktail crisps
olive oil breadsticks
chocolate button cookies

second the idea of bringing a cool bag for the above!

honestly I am super jealous, have the best time and I hope you come home refreshed!

The pistachio cookies in the biscuit aisle
chocolate round biscuits
the pan cristal with some tomatoes
olive oil hummus
bit of an odd one but I’m obsessed with the dried pears
their little individual cheeses
anything from the picnic section

Pineapples123 · 07/06/2026 21:36

Also the paloma cocktail in a can is delicious

Their new custard cream cookie is incredible!
I second the hazelnut spread but it’s best with strawberries which may be difficult with no fridge.

The rhubarb centre chocolate teacakes are delicious.

The olive oil hummus is delish. Waitrose do the same.

I am with you on this. That dip is like crack to me. Also the jalapeño cream cheese one. Add blonde chocolate covered pecans.

@Pineapples123 Me too! They are delicious.

I thought they were a lot nicer than other supermarkets, although if I can be arsed, I make my own because even the 'Finest' bagged supermartet cookies are a bit crap, but I did like the M&S white chocolate and ginger ones and was gutted they were a seasonal special and not permanently available.

My vote would be for florentines and a bag of those £3.90 olive oil crisps because at that price they must be amazing so to me 'indulgence' would be putting aside '£3.90 for a bag of crisps, fuck that' for once.

Plus booze of some sort. If I was being really indulgent, I'd get a bottle of cava in a bucket of ice or a couple of large G&Ts, but spa hotels charge stupid money for drinks so I might get one 'with a lot of ice' and then have a couple of cans in a cool bag to top them up.

Chocolate puddles. The pecan ones. My new fav treat.

endash · 08/06/2026 08:18

The Big Daddy in its (his?) various forms is delicious but you do have to pace yourself - you don’t want to be wasting your precious spa time feeling that choco-sickliness. (Ditto the chocolate-covered custard creams/Bourbons - they’re a LOT, and I say that as someone with a dedicated track record in confectionery-based gluttony.)

maddiemookins16mum · 08/06/2026 08:49

Those tubs of mini choc rolls are all you need.

JacknDiane · 08/06/2026 08:54

Do m&s still do the bag of 5 chocolate cookies for £2?
Id get them and eat them with a cup of tea.

spottybelly · 08/06/2026 17:07

A sliced sourdough loaf (especially the olive ones), loads of nice dips. Washed down with a bottle of red! For pudding I'd have the pink bag of popcorn with a bag of giant buttons mixed in. Or one of their lemon drizzle muffins. Sod it. It's a treat, have both.

Speckled eggs - the only acceptable mini eggs. Chocolate covered custard creams.

BOTH OF THESE.

And they do some fabulous cookie dough bites too
