Favourite home baked treat

What’s your favourite home baked treat, sweet or savoury?
I fancy making something today but can’t work out what. Usually do sausage rolls, spinach and feta triangles, brownies, millionaire shortbread, malteser cake or Guinness cake.
But I don’t want to make any of those things!
What’s your favourite to eat? Hoping for some inspiration.

I love to make pretzel bites! I use Sally’s Baking Addiction recipe and I do cinnamon sugar ones and salty ones! They always taste really good

Scones. So much nicer homemade fresh than from the shop, and so easy to make.

Ooh I’ve never made pretzels before but dd has, they are lovely. Thanks, I might look up that recipe.
ahh @InMySpareTime i do also love making scones 😋 I do both halves with clotted cream and top one with raspberry jam and one with lemon curd. Delicious 🤤

I often make a pecan pie but can't be arsed to make the pastry, so buy the pre-made shells. If I don't have one of those then I make these https://www.recipetineats.com/maple-pecan-pie-bars/

I make sausage rolls in winter and follow this recipe, but I also add in pieces of stilton https://www.recipetineats.com/special-pork-fennel-sausage-rolls/

Maple Pecan Pie Bars

Maple Pecan Pie Bars - tastes like pecan pie - but so much easier to make!! LOVE the maple syrup flavour in this.

Scone for me, too - if you are asking my favourite to eat. I can't be faffed to make them though - I hate 'rubbing in'.

Or cheese scone if you don't have clotted cream in.

Erm, coming back to update you and let you know I did no baking at all today 😂
the sun made a brief appearance so I went out for a walk, came back and did a few loads of washing but mostly have laid on the sofa since 5pm under my heated blanket!
maybe some other time…
dh likes a cheese and paprika scone but I only think they’re nice when they’re warm out of the oven and after that they’re just a bit blah.

A Victoria sponge with just blackcurrant jam
Gingerbread

V quick and easy oat biscuits - I add lemon zest to the basic recipe

Barm brack, fruit and sugar soaked overnight in what’s supposed to be cold tea, but I make some hot specially. Sliced with butter, 😋.
