Does anyone have a Gibbon slackboard?

Has anyone got a Gibbon slackboard? I keep seeing them in social media and am convinced they will change my life for the better. But they cost a fortune.

Does anyone actually own one and has it changed your life?

Alternatively, please tell me to stop lusting after gimmicks on social media and just go out for a good old fashioned walk.

Thank you

Good lord. I had no idea what that was so googled it. People really spend that amount of money on a board and piece of elastic!? C’mon OP - completely a gimmick!!

you know you will use it for two weeks and it will gather dust there after

Alternatively look for cheaper alternatives on Amazon. (I've done that and didn't buy anything.)

Practise standing on one leg.

Slacklines have been a thing for ages though (without the board). Do you have the space to string one in your garden? Then it's great fun for kids/friends also so you would get use for everybody, not just your core!

Thank you. I totally needed this reply. I am insane.

Now I just need to work out how to stop seeing their adverts everywhere.

I'm not even rich, it's not like I have a spare £200. I am so gullible.

I'm not going to buy one.

I've never heard of a slackline before seeing these boards everywhere. You're right, they are much cheaper. But it looks like I'd need to acquire some trees. Maybe I'll just practise standing on one leg like someone suggested. And wobble my head at the same time.

Friend of mine is into this sort of thing.

just get some rope and set up in a park.
the boards are over priced crap

MyCottageGarden · 06/06/2026 12:29

I’ve seen an occupational therapist recommending them for both physical therapy and helping kids with ADHD practice focusing. Wouldn’t buy one myself though

If you did want to buy this sort of thing, Google 'slack board' and there's loads of other versions starting from £25ish on eBay temu etc.
