Single parents - who do you go on holiday with?

Co-parenting with exH and things between us are fine insofar as co-parenting. We do go on holidays together as DC are young and I feel better off for having another adult around. DC and I have been on holiday with my parents but they generally like very different things. We've been on a couple of weekend trips with a couple of friends with kids. I have taken DC away three times on holidays/short breaks alone and all turned out fine but I couldn't help feel a little lonely.

I am wondering what other single parents do. Is it a mix or are you fortunate to have a friendship group to go away with or do you just go it alone?

I used to just take mine alone. I preferred it to be honest.

I take mine alone.

Alone, occasionally with family.

I took the dc away on my own for yesrs.

But recently went away with a friend who has dc a similar age. It was fun, a good experience all round.

With friends, with my parents or with my ex. I have a terrible habit of getting ill on holiday. No matter how much I sanitise and try to avoid it. Last year covid, the year before norovirus. Its really put me off doing it solo until the kids are more self sufficient.
