Asics or New Balance for running shoes?

I need to replace my old New Balance trainers with a new pair, but wondered if it's worth looking at Asics instead.

My budget really only goes up to £65 max which I know won't get much that's beyond a basic pair. My old trainers were the NB 1080s very early version, so the sole is less chunky and high on mine. Plus the new version of these is £170 so far from my budget unfortunately 😕

I'm also reading that the Asics are narrower, and my feet are wide which needs a bigger toe box. I had read too that NB does different widths which is helpful hopefully!😅

Anyone advise please?

ETA My trainers are actually the 860 v2 so ignore above! 😳😅

Can you go and try some on? I need a wide toe box and find the ASICS gel excite 10 is great, but the gel excite 11 comes up a bit small. But as an entry level shoe they are brilliant.
