You will be paid a few pennies to match loads of adverts and have your date taken and sold on.

When I looked into it, I saw that it was a branch of Pinecone Research who are legit company for product testing and surveys. I still haven’t taken the plunge but I’m also interested to hear from those who have.

managingexpectations · 05/06/2026 10:22

you need to play A LOT of games/levels to make any money.

thanks for your message, but from that point of view I'm happy to see how it goes. I'm more worried about how legit it is & if they can then access any info I don't willingly give them.

Won’t they need your bank details to pay you ? I’ve also wondered about it a few times.

TedMosbysWife · 05/06/2026 10:41

I use them. I’ve made £10 since December and I play a lot of games 🙃

minerva7 · 05/06/2026 10:44

MSE recommended Mistplay. I’ve been playing for 6 weeks and have made £80! I’m playing 3 different games, so when lives/coins run out I go on to a different one till I can play again. I would highly recommend it. You can also recommend others and you both get £5 each.

I have a PayPal account I never use, I was thinking about getting it paid into that? Or a current account I don't use at another bank

Hope you want the mortgage for a shed! 🤣

the one that gets to me is the girl saying another person is complaining she's 'only earnt £87 & so it doesn't work'. She says (something like) well she's earnt £87. So it does work. It's not life changing, but its anice extra! & she's earnt £xx in the time the other one was complaining.

I've just started using it, been playing for about 2 weeks, made £11 so far and £5 of that was a welcome bonus!

Oh dear. Have you actually been paid the money yet?

No personal experience, but previous threads on MN suggest that one has to make about £80 before they actually pay out.

I wonder how long it took them?

I think its £55 i have to make before they pay out. So will be a while yet 😂

HauntingBillCrouse · 05/06/2026 11:41

I used Mistplay for a bit. Got £25 over about a month and then it became harder to make the money doing the games I was doing so I claimed the money and gave up.

I might even do better on only fans.🤣🤣

I used to use Mistplay and like a PP I got about £50 in the first six months but after that it stopped almost completely. I don't use it any more (I do have a couple of online games I play but I deleted the two biggest time sinks and I've read 38 books since Jan instead).
I'm currently trying to find something that isn't doomscrolling, playing solitaire, or eating to do while I'm watching TV. I do knit but get a bit bored of some projects.

😊. Can you not play the 'time sinks' when watching TV?

I'm not very well, I can't work (I cant concentrate & I physically can't do much at all. I play Hay Day & a couple of puzzle type things. The Testerup Ad keeps coming & a few extra ££ for doing what I'm already doing would great.

i can't read because I can't concentrate & my eyes aren't good, I'm having treatment in them.

yeah screens might not be ideal , but I'm going bonkers!!

I've lost a lot of use of my hands so I can't knit or crochet.

it's bloody typical, I now have the time to read/knit/crochet (even puzzles on
paoer /jigsaws etc) but not the ability!!🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️

im bored of watching tv

luckily I can still use a screen!

I'd rather concentrate on watching the TV! Plus having the time sinks even on my phone made me distracted from things I should be doing, like work.
I quite often listen to audio books while doing jobs round the house or less wordy games on my phone.

Luckily I prefer the silence when I'm occupied with something, just as well as I wouldn't cope now with more stimulation.

i had thought it might pay a little better than it appears to, but my main concern is how 'safe' it is to use (data security)
