M&S tag removal

I travelled to an M&S far away from my house today and bought a dress to wear for an occasion this weekend. Unfortunately they didn't remove the security tag! I have done the rounds of local shops who have all had a go but were unable to get it off. Does anyone have a tried and tested method for removal at home?

I've tried string - useless - and two forks - managed to loosen it but not pop it off.

I really don't have time to travel all the way back there before we set off tomorrow! Thanks

Phone them? They may be able to advise.

Have you tried phoning them? Similar happened to me, different company. I phoned and complained explained driving to venue next morning etc. A manager who lived about 5 miles away from me was located and came round that evening and removed it.

Bolt cutters

If the tag has a little bobble on it, saw through the base of the bubble until it pops off and then take it apart - I found a serrated knife did the trick. I saw it on YouTube (no, I didn't steal anything!)
