Can anyone identify my lost cat pendant necklace - gift from my child from a charity shop?

I am hoping Mumsnet can work its magic in finding this exact model of necklace I have lost, which was a present from my son. He bought it for me in a charity shop in NE England and to make matters worse, he has sweetly said he plans to write to the tooth fairy asking her to “find” it for me instead of her giving him money for his next tooth! Aside from that being a bit heartbreaking, I fear his belief in the tooth fairy may be under threat if she doesn’t deliver!

• Approximately 2cm wide
• Dark silver/pewter-coloured metal; the coating was coming off a bit and it was more of a copper colour
• Openwork design: only the outline of a cat's head, not a solid face. Textured outline a bit like thin rope
• upright, pointed ears
• Two large, wide almond-shaped enamel eyes
• Eyes were a very bright lime/chartreuse green with black slit pupils
• Small metal triangular nose inside
• Pendant hung from a loop at the top centre
• the chin was rounded, not pointy
• Back was plain with no maker's mark that I can remember
• It may be vintage – I thought perhaps early noughties, but no idea really.

I only have a partial photo which I’m attaching. The overall look was minimalist and slightly gothic-inspired.

Does anyone recognize the maker, brand, or exact pendant? Hoping for a miracle against the odds!! I’ve scoured Etsy and eBay and Vinted, and tried reverse image search and AI search, as well as posting on a Reddit site for finding items (not much response).

Thank you so much.

I can just imagine it rising to the surface, green eyes staring out through the patient's skin.

Or in the x-ray machine an airport 😹

Oh this is brilliant.

And your son sounds like a proper sweetheart.

My dd did the 90’s for a HISTORY topic when she was in year four.

To make it worse that was eight years ago.

😂

If it's the same but newer looking perhaps the tooth fairy might have given it a clean & polish?

Lol I was thinking the same

I think I seen them in cats protection today. I have a donation I will be taking over the weekend and can double check for you, I have taken a screenshot of the photo you have attached. I'm central belt, Scotland.

I’ve bought it! It’s going to my relative in America who kindly offered to send it on!

Excellent result!!💕

Thank you; I appreciate your response. I found this one too. He’d know it was different, but it’s a good backup. I’m still holding out for an exact replica for now!

I'm in a rush, so didn't RTFT, but what if the Tooth Fairy can't find your lost necklace, but brings a new one for you with a note explaining? (and money for your son)

Thank you, and thanks too to @TreesAtSea for the suggestion. It does look shinier from the photo, you’re right. I’ll wait and see.

I think though that he won’t clock the difference consciously, because part of why he was upset (until he delightedly told me he’d found an infallible solution in asking his tooth fairy) is he said it was from a charity shop, and was absolutely the only one ever and he could never find another. He had specifically been pleased to choose something that there was only one of.

I don’t want to count my chickens, but when it arrives, I’ll certainly send a photo and update you all. The tooth fairy will be giving him his money and a letter about how kind and special he is, too.

Alternatively the tooth fairy could leave a note saying that she's making enquires from the fairy network... then when it comes back shiny it can have been located at the hospital laundry all washed and clean. I just found my specs in the laundry washed and dried in the pocket of my shorts and they've never looked so clean.

Thank you for the suggestion. The exceptional @BloodandGlitter found one! It’s on its way from America via a circuitous route

Oh, really @Moonstarsrain ? That is very kind of you. I did look on their website and didn’t see any like it in their jewellery section, but I wonder if your branch has old stock! Don’t go out of your way, but if you do go in, I would be very interested! You might not have seen, but another poster located the exact type I need in America, so we have found one which is being posted and the search is over in that sense. But I am curious as to the original source of these pendants!

A little note from the Tooth Fairy explaining that she had it cleaned and polished when found might be in order here. It would explain why it doesn't look quite the same.
