Suggestions for family films for seven and nine year old boys

Every Saturday we do family film night where we pick a film and all watch it together with mountains of snacks. We’ve been doing it since they were little, but we’re now at the age 7&9 where I’m struggling to find good films we’ll all enjoy.

They are mature for their age and have never sworn so I’m fairly relaxed about the odd swear word. Popular films have included:

Harry potter films
Free Guy
Ready Player One
The school for good and evil
spiderman
zombies - Disney series of films
descendants

we also watch tv together and they have loved
the simpsons
malcolm in the middle
friday night dinner
young Sheldon
stranger things

any suggestions on films on Netflix/prime/disney/now tv that would go down well.

We had the same reaction with the Goonies and turned it off. There were a few others which I can’t remember where I thought ‘blimey times have definitely changed’ - but then my friends and I used to watch Chucky and nightmare on elm street when were were far too young.

i rewatched Dodgeball by myself the other week as I remember it being really funny, but again I’m not convinced it’s aged well.

Funnily enough I rewatched Dodgeball a couple of years ago and had to turn it off halfway through, horrendous!

Slight sidebar sorry.... my kids are the same age and i had assumed Friday Night Dinner was age inappropriate (I loved it but watched it so long ago), is it really ok? I'm trying to avoid what i thought was a fair bit of sex humour. I would love to watch it again with the kids.

Edited

I mean there is a bit of sex humour but most goes over their heads. They love the dynamic with the brothers playing pranks on each other.
I’d skip the new car episode where Johnny has an older lady girlfriend but the rest is harmless.

In a similar vein (actually probably much more age-appropriate) my kids LOVE Here We Go, with Katherine Parkinson and the Horrible Histories guy. Actually OP, your kids might like Ghosts?

I tried ghosts (again i love it) but didn't watch past episode 1 due to sexual inneuendo. Kids were gutted as they did find it funny.

DD8 absolutely loved Malcom in the middle, TV wise we’ve since watched:
The Middle
Modern Family
Scrubs (the most morally dubious choice because of sex, but her favourite!)
Ted Lasso
Outnumbered
Raising Hope
My Name Is Earl (also a bit dubious sex wise but mostly goes over her head)

Friday Night Dinner is on my list, but had wondered if a step too far, but you’ve convinced me to go for it lol. I’m currently watching Ghosts for the first time, and think that would be fine.

Films we’ve watched and she’s enjoyed:
Avatar series
Divergent series
Narnia

A Minecraft Movie - fun for children and adults... I've never had the patience for the Minecraft game but the film was very good.
I was going to suggest Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, but I see it is a PG13.
Alvin and the Chipmunks? I think there are several of them.

We have just done the Mighty ducks movies and my kids LOVED them. I’d forgotten how great they were too. Really enjoyed watching them together.

We’ve watched all of these and really enjoyed them.
dungeons and dragons had my 7 year old howling with laughter at the face melting bit, so you never quite know what they’ll respond to. But it seemed fairly innocuous overall so think you’d be safe to watch.
