Just that really, his EHCP states all his needs and I want the renewal sent off asap or would that look bad if I don’t ask his teacher for a statement ?

I have never completed the section that’s meant to be filled in by family, teacher etc. I send evidence like EHCP or school assessments.

Yes send it. I've never sent a statement from anyone.

Oh great !! So I just tick the no box and state that I’ve included the EHCP instead ?

I would be sending the EHCP and any other paperwork you’ve got anyway. It all helps to build up the picture.
if you’ve got a supportive teacher or SENDCo then when I’ve had a tight time line in the past I’ve written a basic statement and emailed in and they’ve been happy to use it and sign. So much quicker for them to read and agree a statement than to think up and write it themselves!
