Safe to defrost fish pie in microwave /then cook from frozen or just cook from frozen or leave 24 hours to defrost ?

As title is it safe to do any of those ?

Is it a home made fish pie or pre bought?
If home made I’d probably defrost then cook, making sure it was piping hot all the way through, if I wanted to eat it tonight.
If I wasn’t eating it until tomorrow I’d defrost in the fridge first.
If it’s a ready meal I’d just follow the instructions.

Just cook from frozen for longer.

If you have time, 24 hours defrosting in fridge then cook as normal.

If not, I'd just add 20 minutes onto the cooking time and check it halfway through.
