Party bags for older kids?

Due to have an 11 year old (boy) birthday party next month. We’re doing an activity party but not sure what the expectation is for party bags for older boys. Anyone got any ideas or do I just swerve it all together? Is activity, food and cake enough?

We just did a 12th birthday party and it was a very different affair as unlike previous ones there were only a couple of friends. It was a spa thing with facials so we made a little (emphasis on little) basket up for each of them with bath bomb, face mask, mini pack of chocolates.

i think if you wanted to do a party bag style thing then it would depend on numbers and the activity, If there’s more than 5 kids id say don’t bother, if it’s a small thing and you can afford it then something linked to the activity would be a nice addition but not a necessity.

Yes, I’d do them. They really do love them and it’s nice to add a touch of childhood fun, even when they are preteens. Obviously no bubble wands but find some cool stuff, temporary tattoos if they’re cool ones, sweets, squishies, whatever the boy equivalent to lip gloss and nail varnish is, piece of cake.
