Looking for a dehumidifier for utility room?

Hi all - we’ve just had our utility room renovated and are looking for a dehumidifier. Our last utility room was quite ‘damp’ feeling and we had quite a build up of mildew in one of the cupboards.

We’d really like to stop this happening again - any recommendations for a dehumidifier that would work in a 3x3m room where washing is left to dry?

Thanks!

When I was looking Meaco seemed to be the best brand. I got a MeacoDry ABC. That was a few years ago, we use it in our conservatory and I’m really impressed with it.

Watch them for noise. We bought a very effective one. But it is loud.

Avoid buying a dessicant machine, unless the room is very cold indeed, as these use much more electricity than the refrigerant machines.

I think they do quiet ones these days. Too late for me though.

I've got a blyss D003A dehumidifier from Screwfix which is £89.99 at the moment. It's effective, has a laundry function and on wheels.

This was our Which recommended. Had it two years and really pleased with it. Has a drying mode.

We bought it through Amazon but they also sell direct.

Meaco, every time!

Got a Meaco 12 litre and it has revolutionised the drying of clothes in the utility. So much faster.
