Believe it or not.. I'm looking forward to my spinal surgery end of August.. just so l will be out of this brutally excruciating pain.. but on an happier note l am going to see The Cure live .. I've bought tickets for myself and my Grandson for his 21st birthday.. ( which is two weeks before my surgery) .. l have waited 48 years to see them live.. It's fantastic that my Grandson discovered them years later and loves them as much as me.. ( l got a disabled viewing) told Grandson he can go off and do his thing..

My grapevine has loads of bunches on it that will become delicious grapes in the summer. I got two grapes last year and am really looking forward to a first decent crop!

@InMySpareTime I don't want to disappoint you, but we were given a couple of bucketloads of grapes last year because they were sour and inedible. I made them into delicious grape jelly... far more than we needed really!

InMySpareTime · 01/06/2026 13:49

@DilemmaDelilah the two grapes last year were delicious (I only planted it the year before so wasn’t expecting much yet), and neighbours also have grapevines so pollination shouldn’t be an issue. The rest of my soft fruit is plentiful and delicious so I remain hopeful.
