My friends went yo the Owl and Otter at Dipton yesterday. Humongous and delicious apparently.

My mates rate it highly. Think the South Csuseway is good? Avoid the Drovers Arms, u can't book on a Sunday, have heard it gets really busy. The King's Head in Lanchester is supposed to be nice too.

Just seen you are in Alnwick. Bit of a trek to the places I have mentioned. If the weather is pleasant drive to Seahouses, there will be places there, although it is apt to get very busy. You would be better off having fish and chips perhaps if u go there as u at seaside. Enjoy the beautiful NE

Beadnell Towers do a lovely Sunday roast.

Try the Market Tavern in Alnwick. Or if you have a car go to the Cook & Barker in Newton on the Moor - about 15 min drive away. Probably worth booking

Tempus at Charlton Hall, Apple Inn at Lucker and the Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel are all good for Sunday roast

Ooh yes +1 for the cook & barker
